CODE OF ETHICS
1. Quality of Service
Guides make at every effort is made to ensure that their client/s are given
every possible opportunity to catch trout during the course of their stay.
2. Fishing with Clients
A guide shall not fish with a client unless:

they are invited to fish by their client during the course of the guided
fishing trip;

they are demonstrating casting, fishing gear or a fishing technique;

they have indicated to the client through correspondence that their guide
will be fishing with them during the course of their guided fishing trip.
3. Standard of Accommodation
Any accommodation provided is to meet the minimum standards of cleanliness,
hygiene and provide basic ablution facilities as set down by the Department
of Tourism.
4. Alcohol
Guides must abide by the requirements of the Road Safety (Alcohol and Drugs)
Act 1970, which states that drivers of public vehicles must not drive a
public vehicle after drinking any alcohol. Guides should not drive
a boat after drinking any alcohol.
5. Dress
Guides should always wear clean and neat clothing appropriate to the service
being provided to the client.
6. Vehicles, Boats and other Equipment
Guides should ensure that their vehicles, boats and other equipment are
kept in a clean, safe and reliable condition. All necessary State and Federal
licences must be taken out and kept renewed.
7. Fisheries Regulations
All guides must abide by all state laws when with a client and make every
effort to ensure that their clients abide by such laws.
8. Catch and Release
Guides should promote a catch and release policy where applicable but,
at the same time, respect the wishes of any client who may want to kill
a legal size trout.
9. Environment
Ausprey Tours will:

Be efficient in the use of natural resources (water, energy, etc);

Ensure waste disposal has minimum environmental and aesthetic impacts;

Recycle and reuse where possible;
-
Keep abreast of current political and environmental issues in areas in
which we operate;
-
Employ guides who are well-versed and respectful of local cultures and
environments, particularly indigenous culture and flora and fauna species;
-
Keep vehicles to designated roads and trails;
-
Abide by the rules and regulations of the natural areas;
-
Respect the rights of private landowners and seek permission before entering
private land and
-
Support the minimal impact bushwalking code.
